Keeping Kids Safe - USMMAâ € ™ s Child Safety Open House Kicks Off

United States Mixed Martial Artsâ € ™ of Bellingham is committed to strengthening families with information about child safety and protection. His recent Child Safety Open House drew over 175 attendees and helped to launch a series of self-defense classes for the community.

$ 500 in revenue was raised from the sale of memorabilia signed by the champion fighters Mixed Martial Arts were donated to the Bellingham Random Smile Project, a nonprofit organization that provides temporary assistance to families and individuals through difficult circumstances.

Parents and guardians of the 100 children were happy to have the opportunity to have their children fingerprinted for safety Identification and Security in Open House for Children. Along with the fingerprinting, Franklin DARE police officers were on site to talk to children and offered Sutton and Bellingham Police K-9 demonstrations. Attendees also enjoyed Mixed Martial Arts demonstrations and free self-defense President Massages.

â € œWe had a great participation and hope to make this an annual event, â € noted Tom Hafers, owner of USMMA.

The first in a series of self-defense classes for free is a class of Rape Prevention and Self-Defense for adolescents and adults to be held on April 18 in USMMAâ € ™ s training center located at 316 Hartford Avenue.
