Competition is not a means to devalue the other at Penn State, is a way to show respect for others and himself through the skillful talent that comes with practice and dedication.
While athletics is an integral part of the student experience at Penn State, the ultimate goal remains the student's education from beginning to end (graduation). There is no doubt that these beliefs and values, according to the primary objectives are part of what makes Penn State athletics so great. It is not just to collect a baseball or swimming a lap, but a means for student athletes to participate in intramural sports no matter what income level they can be.
